”I was Once a member of the Canadian Forces Base Lahr and I used to visit places where military often went, especially bars! Ten years later I’ve returned to Lahr with my wife (it’s her first time in Europe). What I saw of the remains of the base hurt me, but I understand that the world has moved on. Now I see the region of Lahr with different eyes and realise how much I missed when I was stationed here. I can certainly say that the people are still so friendly and the area so charming that I will returned to see again one day.”
